Varina artist organizes statewide art show

The collage “Que” by Christina DePrann is part of “Joy, an Art Teacher Showcase” on display at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.

DePrann, a 2006 Buena Vista University graduate living in Varina, organized the show. A former art teacher in Fort Dodge and later in Pocahontas, she contacted art teacher friends and assembled a body of work that will travel to other public spots. On the schedule are Planted, a plant and gift shop in Dubuque; Coffee Attic in Iowa Falls and Art Sux Gallery in Sioux City.
