Posted

Buena Vista University invites the public to an evening of powerful storytelling and authentic performance by the Woodland Sky Native American Dance Company. The event will take place on Monday, Nov. 3, at 6:30 p.m. in Anderson Auditorium.

Featuring Native American Ojibwe, Lakota, Potawatomi, Menominee and Apache dancers, Woodland Sky Native American Dance Company shares historic tales and cultural traditions through men's and women's dance styles, including traditional, fancy, jingle, grass, and hoop.

Established in 2013, Woodland Sky Native American Dance Company is dedicated to providing high-quality performances that educate audiences about traditional Native American stories, culture, and values using authentic songs, music, and dance. In 2017, Woodland Sky Native American Dance Company became an Associate Partner with the Native American Tourism of Wisconsin (NATOW), furthering its mission to preserve and share Native American heritage through the arts.
