Prost! Raise a glass for 5th annual Oktoberfest

Posted

Get ready for Storm Lake’s Fifth Annual Oktoberfest Oct. 17 at the historic Cobblestone Ballroom and Events Center in Lakeside.

The event features two live bands, including country and polka music. You’ll hear the Marksmen Country Band, sponsored by Bob’s Country Body/Ryan Mohr from 3-6 p.m., followed by Malek’s Fishermen Polka Band, sponsored by Brew and Brew Oil from 6-10 p.m.

Free food starts at 6:30 p.m. with brats, hot dogs, chips, pretzels and cookies while supplies last. Arrive early and bring your appetite.

Lederhosen optional

Enter the Oktoberfest costume contest for a shot at first, second or third place prizes.

Test your endurance in the stein-holding contest, a fan-favorite tradition.

And raise a glass of classic German bear on tap, available for one night only.

Dance lessons will also be available.

This event is free, thanks to generous sponsors, but free-will donations are happily accepted.
