Maribeth Wolf Phillips, 65, formerly of Storm Lake, passed away on Aug. 24 at her son Keith's home in Hephzibah, Ga.
Memorial services will take place Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
Maribeth Gail Wolf Phillips was born on July 10, 1961 in Denver, Colo., where she was adopted as a newborn by her loving parents Ivan and Virginia (Davis) Harry. The family moved to Salt Lake City, where Maribeth grew up with her brother Tal. As a young adult, Maribeth moved to Iowa, where she was blessed with her first son, Joseph. She was united in marriage with Keith Rodney Wolf on Sept. 8, 1989, and from that marriage was blessed with children, Ashley and Keith David. Her three children and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Maribeth had a servant heart, which led her to study healthcare, while also raising her children, serving for a short time as a first responder until health issues prevented her from continuing that work. Finally, she worked at Walmart, where many friends shared that they always looked forward to seeing her smile.
Maribeth loved the ocean, lighthouses, sunflowers, hummingbirds, the Denver Broncos, and above all, her family. Gift giving was her love language. She always hoped the gifts she gave would be reminders of her deep love for each recipient. Her family will miss good times of playing word games, laughing, and enjoying her favorite foods, especially brownies, with her.
Maribeth had more than her fair share of health struggles throughout her life, including cancer, pancreatitis, and finally, pulmonary fibrosis. Throughout these hardships, she was a fighter who inspired many. Her loved ones find comfort in the knowledge that Maribeth will never know illness again, and instead is resting in eternal Love with God and all those who went before her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Virginia Harry; children: Joseph (Jessie) Lee, Ashley (Dylan) WolfTornabane, and Keith David (Cecilia) Wolf; grandchildren: Naomi, Lucy, Sky, Lex, Keith David II, and Nathaniel; brother: Tal (Joni) Harry; biological sister: Janinne Seward; nieces and nephews: Madeleine (Manuel) Chavez, Dominique Harry, Isaac Harry, and Gabriel (Kate) Harry; great nephews: Royal, Roman, and Willie; many Wolf family members and friends.
Maribeth was preceded in death by her husband: Keith Rodney Wolf; father: Ivan Harry; grandbabies: Peter, Aloha, and Clara; nephew: Tyler Wolf; and biological mother, Sara (Davis) Carrico.
