Joel Wernimont will take the stage at Fonda Arts Center on Sunday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m. The location is the northwest corner of Fourth and Main. Admission, as always, is free, as are refreshments!
Joel Michael Wernimont was born and raised on a farm in western Iowa and studied music composition at McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, Minn. While initially focusing on writing and recording music for TV advertisements in the Twin Cities, he later transitioned to Nashville to write for other artists and define his own sound. His story and lyric driven Americana music is rooted in the personal experiences and tribulations of his Midwestern upbringing.
He is currently working on his debut album, “Tales From the Heartland,” which features a sound reminiscent of Jason Isbell, Turnpike Troubadours and Bob Dylan.
