Founded to celebrate all musical genres across the Midwest, MAMA is a nonprofit with a mission rooted in recognition, preservation and education. From awarding over $5,000 to Western Iowa middle school music programs last year to creating opportunities for youth to showcase their talents, MAMA stands as a beacon for future generations of musicians.
Through concerts, special events and historical preservation, MAMA shines a spotlight on not only the artists, bands and songwriters, but also the unsung heroes — promoters, DJs, venues, and radio stations — who make the music scene thrive.
MAMA is proud to introduce an exciting addition to its annual awards — the Craig Cronbaugh Drum Studies Scholarship. This prestigious $500 scholarship is awarded to an outstanding middle school drum student in recognition of both talent and dedication to percussion.
Named in honor of former professional drummer and current MAMA Secretary Craig Cronbaugh, this scholarship celebrates his lifelong passion for music and unwavering commitment to nurturing the next generation of musicians.
The Cobblestone Inn and Ballroom, once the crown jewel of the Midwest music scene, has been lovingly restored to its former glory by business partners Chad and Jennifer Hustedt, Nathan and Natalie Schumann. Once graced by the likes of Glenn Miller, Louis Armstrong, Buddy Holly and the Beach Boys, the Cobblestone’s stage and dance floor remain original — and are ready to roar once more.
Don’t miss this once-in-a-generation revival of a historic venue and a powerful tribute to the artists and institutions that have shaped the musical soul of the Midwest.
