Vote for SL’s Harmony Garden in All-Star Community Tournament

Storm Lake’s Harmony Garden project is included in the 2026 People’s Choice All-Star Community Award Tournament.

The Iowa League of Cities tournament celebrates some of the best community projects across the state.

Those who would like to support the community and the Harmony Garden development can cast their vote online. Find the tournament at: www.facebook.com/media/set?vanity=IowaLeagueofCities&set=a.1363357852647046

To cast a vote, locate the Harmony Garden photo and simply give it a “like.” First round voting ends Aug. 14. Projects with the most votes then advance to the next round.

The Harmony Garden project transformed the Public Library/Witter Gallery grounds into a park-like setting featuring seven musical instruments drawn from cultures around the world, game-play tables, a deck for outdoor classes and events, bench seating, device charging,  landscaping, and trees planted by local second-graders. The City of Storm Lake development was assisted by a T-Mobile Hometown Grant.
