Super bowls for chili

Posted

At Witter Gallery’s chili cook-off, participants will receive an artisan-made chili bowl personally created by the Buena Vista University Art Department. These ceramic bowls are in the glazing process, as seen here in photo with David Boelter, BVU professor of art. Boelter, ceramicist Ron Netten and BVU art students are involved in the project. The SOUPer CHILIn' BOWLicious Cook-Off, among local chefs, happens Nov. 8 at the Storm Lake Municipal Golf Course Clubhouse. The cook off opens at 5 p.m. with tasting to begin at 5:30 p.m. Tickets to the event are $50 each, which includes the meal, bowl, silent auction, live music, door prizes and more. Tickets are on sale at the Witter Gallery, by contacting a Witter Gallery Board member or by calling 712-732-3400.
