Storm Lake newcomer is versatile artist

The work of Elyse Gambino is on display at Witter Gallery through Sept. 27. Gambino has moved to Storm Lake within the past few weeks to join her husband who is employed at Buena Vista University’s Estelle Siebens Science Center.

The exhibit shows her progression as an artist and her versatility. Photography, illustration, painting and her latest, fiber art, are among the media represented.

Gambino has a background as an educator, having taught at several community colleges. She comes to The City Beautiful from the Detroit area.
