Storm Lake Area Performers of Tomorrow introduces their summer production “Firebringer” to be held June 26-28 at Storm Lake High School.
This musical comedy is the story of how mankind discovered fire, but also how they discovered the importance of balance between work, play and surviving the human experience. It follows Zazzalil, an ambitious, rebellious and lazy member of a prehistoric tribe led by the responsible Jemilla, who accidentally discovers fire, leading her on a quest from social outcast to leader.
Auditions for “Firebringer” (school edition) are April 27 and 28 with callbacks April 30. Auditions are open for anyone 13 and above.
Auditionees must be willing to dance and/or engage in some onstage romance. Improv skills encouraged. If there are questions or interest in audition information, reach out to directors Jared Roth and Max Wallace at jroth@slcsd.org or mwallace@slcsd.org.
