The City of Rembrandt will proudly celebrate its 125th Anniversary on Saturday, July 18, with a full day of family-friendly events honoring the community’s rich history and small-town spirit. Events will take place throughout the town, with activities beginning in the morning and continuing into the evening. Admission is free and open to the public.
Founded in 1901, Rembrandt has grown through generations of hard work, tradition and community pride. The 125th celebration will bring current residents, former residents and visitors together for a day packed with activities for all ages.
The celebration will kick off Friday, July 17, with a live DJ and beer garden. Saturday will start with a 5K fun run, followed by a variety of events throughout the day including a Kittenball Tournament, community parade, classic car show and craft and food vendors. Families can enjoy inflatables for kids, while friendly competition continues with a bags tournament, pedal tractor pull and several other kid activities! Event goers will also have the opportunity to reflect on the town’s legacy through historical displays and storytelling.
Additional highlights include Northwest Iowa Tractor Pullers, a pie auction and free-will donation meal provided by the Rembrandt Fire Department. Stick around and enjoy a beer in the beer garden with live entertainment from Big Time Grain Co. and fireworks, making for an exciting evening of music and celebration.
