On June 14, 1969, Pat married the love of her life, Ken Baker, in Blencoe. Together they built a beautiful life and raised two children, David and Kelley.

She was deeply committed to supporting the youth of Buena Vista County, volunteering with Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and 4-H, where she encouraged learning, leadership and confidence in countless young people. A longtime member of the local quilt club, she recently served as its treasurer. She also enjoyed gathering with The Woolies group and lent her voice to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Choir. Her dedication to service extended throughout the community as she volunteered with the SOS Store, Buena Vista County Fair Board, St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery Board and the Buena Vista County Extension Council.
Pat loved keeping her hands busy, even in her final days. She found joy in quilting, knitting, sewing and restoring furniture.
