Norma Dreessen

Norma Dreessen, 76, of Storm Lake died July 2, 2025, at Humboldt County Memorial Hospital.

Memorial services will take place Wednesday, July 9, at 10:30 a.m. at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Burial will be in Wall Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held July 8, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home in Storm Lake.

Norma Jean Rogers was born Jan. 1, 1949, in Fort Madison, the daughter of Warren and Frances (Riggle) Rogers.

She attended school in Lake View where she graduated from Lake View High School in 1967.

On Feb. 21, 1970, Norma was united in marriage to Lloyd R. Dreessen in Wall Lake. Together they were blessed with two children, Troyd and Jayme.

Norma was an activities director at BV and Methodist manors for several years. She also was a teachers aide and lunch assistant at Storm Lake Elementary School. Norma retired in 2022.

Norma loved being outdoors going on 5K walks and working in the garden. She enjoyed coffee brunches with her friends and listening to music while relaxing and sitting with her loyal dog, Mr. McTavish. Norma was known for her love of shoes. In her spare time, she enjoyed planning activities for her grandchildren and loved ones. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Troyd (Amanda) Dreessen of Carroll; Jayme (Erin) Dreessen of Dakota City; grandchildren: Kayla Dreessen of Des Moines; Levi Dreessen of Carroll; Evelyn Dreessen of Carroll; Anna (Chase) Butler of Wichita Falls, Texas; and Jenna Dreessen of Des Moines; brothers: Don Rogers of Sioux Falls, S.D.; Keith Rogers of Pensacola, Fla.; sister Karen (Jerry) Cook of Urbandale; extended family and many friends.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Dreessen; and her parents, Warren and Frances Rogers.
