Native Gardening program

Have you ever wished to draw more pollinators to your garden? Are you eager to learn more about prairies? Do you love the idea of getting free plants?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this program is perfect for you!

Join the Buena Vista County Conservation Board on Saturday, May 2, from 9-10:30 a.m. at BV County Park to explore the significance of prairies and the native plants and animals that thrive within them. After a brief presentation, you'll have the opportunity to select some sprouts to take home and plant in your own garden! Weather permitting, we will also embark on a search for the first blooms of spring.

This program is free to the public. Please call 712-295-7985 to register for this event by Thursday, April 30. We hope to see you there!
