M. Millie Demers, formerly of Storm Lake; Sioux Falls, S.D.; Worthington, Minn.; and Spirit Lake, passed away on Dec. 21, 2025, peacefully surrounded by family.
She was born Nov. 12, 1929 to Gabe and Margaret Caffrey in Sioux Falls, S.D. She enjoyed playing golf, cards and thrift store shopping and traveling. She married Don Demers in June 1948 in Storm Lake. They had four children: Terry (deceased); Jan Johnson of Osceola, Wis.; Chris Demers of Westbrook, Minn.; and Craig Demers of Murrieta, Calif. They have seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her brother Roy Caffrey, special niece Shelly (Demers) Koopman and sister-in-law Franny (Demers) Karl.
She spent the last 25 years enjoying retirement in Spirit Lake.

He was born May 24, 1928 in Early to Fred and Elizabeth Demers. He enjoyed playing golf, cards and traveling. He married Millie Caffrey in June 1948 in Storm Lake. They had four children. He spent his last 22 years enjoying retirement in Spirit Lake.
Funeral services for Don and Millie Demers will be held Saturday, May 16, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake. A reception will follow at the church.
