I have more questions

Posted

There was an interesting news piece by the BBC about our President saying that if the Republicans win both Houses in the mid-term elections, he would give every American $5,000. While it’s not illegal to say something like that at a rally, it certainly begs the question: How far will this President go to keep himself in power? And how many people will actually vote Republican on the off chance he actually follows through on that statement? By the way, the cost for that would be around 1.3 TRILLION dollars (according to the BBC article).

The President is trying to kill mail-in voting, even when he has used that same system to vote in the past. So, it’s okay for him, but not for the rest of the public?

Both sides are more worried about painting the other as the enemy than putting out good ideas on how we can fix this mess we’re in.

Our President has basically torn asunder our relationships with other countries and consistently antagonizes them with tariffs, talk of taking their country, changing the names of states and lakes, and anything else he can think of, and that is putting our country in a precarious position.

He’s mad because other countries didn’t want to participate in the war with Iran, when most didn’t understand the reasoning behind it, and while they will allow the U.S. to use their airspace and help with logistics, they want nothing to do with this war.

What has the war with Iran accomplished? Higher prices on everything, our military stockpiles slowly depleting, the countries we used to be allies with turning their backs on us. And for what? Oil? Nuclear weapons? Pride?

What I see, is a President that’s more worried about his ego than his people. He puts his name on anything he thinks is important. He tears down government property to build his own vanity projects. He sends out anonymous “police” to round up those he thinks aren’t worthy to be here and puts them in camps. (If you don’t remember, we did the same thing in WWII with Japanese people). He tries to destroy his perceived enemies by having the Justice Department arrest them. He has basically taken away or stripped the programs put in place to help those in need. Diseases that were once non-existent are now back, and slowly harming and killing people, because the person the President put in charge is anti-everything. He’s defunded science, threatened universities with lawsuits to make them change to fit what he wants. He’s depleted the EPA and CDC. I wonder why there is a Listeria outbreak? It’s because there aren’t enough inspectors to make sure the food we eat isn’t going to kill us. And last but not least, he is actively trying to kill the news media. Is the media perfect? No. But if the media is deprived of the right to give facts and let people decide for themselves, then you’re looking at becoming a North Korea or a Russia, where all the news is only how great the leader is.

Seriously folks, how much more does he need to do before we say enough?

What I see is a President that has no intention of leaving office at the end of his second term. I see a person setting things up to change our laws to benefit himself and all his Yes Men that cling to him like leeches waiting for the next blood bath to get fed. News outlets that only spout the propaganda that fits the President’s narrative. The loss of our freedoms.

I’m not saying Democrats are the answer. The answer HAS to be the people. The people of this country need to stop being sheep and start looking out for themselves, because as of now, the government certainly isn’t looking out for you. They are in it for themselves.
