Heather Noreen Fassler, 55, of Storm Lake died May 19, 2026, at her residence.

Heather Noreen Hein was born Jan. 6, 1971, in Erie, Penn., the daughter of Kenneth and Sandra (Fuchs) Hein.
Heather graduated from Mechanicsburg High School in Mechanicsburg, Ohio, in 1989. She then continued her education at Ohio Hi-Point College, where she earned a degree in nursing.
On March 17, 2021, Heather was united in marriage to Doug Fassler in Newell. Together, they blended their families and shared seven children: Kassandra, Traes, Jewelle, Kainen, Jaes, Takoda and Josh.
Heather had a caring heart and a deep love for both people and animals. In her younger years, she enjoyed riding horses, and one of her favorite pastimes was visiting the beach. She also loved reading, listening to music, flowers and gardening. Above all, her children were her greatest pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Doug Fassler of Storm Lake; her children: Kassandra (Terronce) Adams of Tennessee; Traes Johnson of Ohio; Jewelle Johnson of Ohio; Kainen Humphrey of Ohio; Jaes Humphrey of Ohio; stepchildren, Takoda Kraul and Josh Carlson; grandchildren, Sylas and Samson Adams; brother Ken (Donna) Hein; parents-in-law, David and Linda Fassler; brother-in-law Harold Bannin; sister-in-law Kris (Joe) Moon; nephew Tyler Moon; extended family and many friends.
Heather was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Sandy Hein; and her sister Stephanie Bannin.
