Fonda 5K Walk/Run starts at Central Park at 7 a.m. Register at 6:30 a.m.; cost is $20. In memory of Carson Daniel Chase and Rod Wells in honor of Lauren Wiehold. Run/Walk starts at 7 a.m. Proceeds go to Sammy’s Superheroes and the Iowa Donor Network. Donuts and rolls sold by Fonda Hometown Pride after run.

Fonda Labor Day Weekend Parade begins at 9 a.m. Registration and line-up starts at 8 a.m. at Ag State main office parking lot (First and Main). After the parade join for MAGS Chicken Bingo, $10 per square, located by the railroad tracks at Ag State. Kids games hosted by Fonda Library and Boosters. Play Bingo hosted by Home Town Pride and Pickleball Committee at KC Hall on Main Street. Serving hotdogs, burgers and chips from 10 a.m.-noon. Coffee and food trucks will be parked near Main Street during and after the parade.
Central Iowa Truck Pullers will start at 10 a.m., behind the Sale Barn (same location as Fonda Rodeo). Gate fee is $10. Featuring stock gas, improved street gas, hot street gas, open gas, stock diesel, hot street diesel and open diesel.
T&C Rodeo begins at 6:30 p.m., behind the Sale Barn. Featuring mutton bustin, bull riding, barrel racing, half-time kids activities and petting zoo. Entry is $10 for adults; $5 for ages 6-12; and free for ages five and under. Fireworks show to follow the rodeo at 10 p.m., co-sponsored by the City of Fonda.

Fonda Golf Course hosting Labor Day Weekend Brunch, 8:30-11:30 a.m.
Demo Derby starts at 1 p.m., behind the Sale Barn. Featuring powerwheels (kids), mini vans, compacts, 80s/old iron stock mix, limited weld and MWFA. Entry is $10 for adults; $5 for ages 6-12; and free for ages five and under.
Street dance, 9 p.m.-1 a.m., featuring live music by Section 7 Band. Located at Second and Main streets. Entry is $15 per person; no one under 21 admitted.
