Dutch Oven Cooking 101: Chicken Pot Pie

Dutch oven cooking 101 is back for Summer 2026. The first class will be taught Friday, May 22, at 5:30 p.m. at the South Shelter Area of Buena Vista County Conservation Park. The Naturalists will present the basics of Dutch oven cooking, including ovens, supplies, recipes and more.

There will be no need to plan supper that night. The meal for the evening will be chicken pot pie, sides and dessert. This event is free of charge.

Registration is required for this program by Tuesday, May 19, at 4 p.m. To RSVP, contact the conservation office at 712-295-7985.

The South Shelter Area of Buena Vista County Conservation Park is located at 377 440th St., Peterson.
