Diane K. Everhard, 65, of Fort Dodge passed away Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, at Fort Dodge Health and Rehab.
Visitation was held Thursday, Feb. 26, at Gunderson Funeral Home, with a funeral service following. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Diane Kay Everhard, the daughter of Dwaine A. McBride and Betty L. Hanson, was born on Aug. 13, 1960, in Storm Lake. She grew up in Storm Lake and carried the values of kindness and hard work with her throughout her life.
On July 28, 1984, Diane was united in marriage to George R. Everhard in Storm Lake. Together they built a life centered on love, family and simple joys.
Diane worked as a certified nursing assistant, a profession that perfectly reflected her caring spirit. She truly loved the people she cared for and found deep fulfillment in helping others. Her compassion and gentle nature left a lasting impression on those she served and worked alongside.
In her free time, Diane enjoyed playing cards, Bingo and solitaire. She loved traveling, going on walks and camping, finding happiness in both adventure and quiet moments alike. Diane will be remembered for her warm heart, her devotion to others and the joy she found in life’s everyday pleasures.
Diane is survived by her daughter Lisa (Bill Meyers) Everhard; sister Peggy (David Anderson) McBride of Storm Lake; brothers, Dennis McBride and Elmer McBride; sister-in-law Janet (Bruce) Hamilton; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband George R. Everhard; parents; and her brother-in-law Mike Everhard.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
