Debra Kay Meusburger, 66, of Pocahontas died Sept. 19, 2025, at her residence.

Celebration of Life services for Debra Kay Meusburger and Tonya Lynn Fonder will take place Saturday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m. at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake.

Deb was born Nov. 1, 1958, to George and Shirley (Holster) Mathews in Kittery, Maine. She graduated from Albert City-Truesdale High School in 1977.

On Dec. 10, 1977, Deb was united in marriage to Allan Meusburger at United Methodist Church in Truesdale. To this union two children were born, Elisha and Tonya.

In her younger years, Deb worked with elderly and mentally and physically handicapped adults. She was employed at Buena Vista Manor, Buena Vista County Farm and Tyler Hope DAC. Deb enjoyed serving her community and was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader. You could find her familiar face in the crowd at all of her children’s activities. In her later years, due to Deb’s failing health, she could no longer attend their activities. She treasured when her grandchildren came to visit and tell her all about what was happening in their worlds. Deb will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish Deb’s memory include her husband Allan “Al” Meusburger of Pocahontas; daughter Elisha (Jacob) Meusburger; siblings: Gary (Jeanie) Mathews; Barbara (Fred) Perez; grandchildren: Lamar, Monika, Zion, Xavier, Shaunie, Savannah and Sariah; great-grandchildren: Aurora, Wesley, Raelynn and Theo; brother-in-law Kelly (Lisa) Meusburger; sisters-in-law: Joleen (John) Owens, Terry Meusburger and Nancy Mathews; extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Tonya Fonder; brother Tracey Mathews; Tom Mathews; brothers-in-law, Mike (Kelly) Meusburger and Jeff Meusburger.
