Darla Weiland

Darla Weiland, 78, of Truesdale died Sept. 23, 2025, at UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s in Sioux City.

Visitation will take place Friday, Sept. 26, from 5-7 p.m. at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake.

Darla was born Nov. 18, 1946, to Paul and Mary (Jones) Graff in Roanoke, Ind. She grew up attending school in Early.

On Dec. 6, 1968, Darla was united in marriage to Jim Weiland. Jim welcomed Darla’s children, Kathy and Connie. They were later blessed with daughters, Kami and Kate.

Darla worked as a bank teller until her retirement in 2022. She was a big racing fan and you could find her in the stands at the local car races. She also enjoyed tending to her flower beds and reading. Darla treasured time with her family and looked forward to family vacations. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Darla is survived by her children: Kathy (Neal) Hazen, Connie (Keith) Hartman, Kami Jarnagin and Kate (Jason) Pfaff; grandchildren: Nicole, Ryan, Aaron, Kacy, Elizabeth, Corey, Steven, Lucien, Austin and Phoebe; 25 great-grandchildren; extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mary Graff; husband Jim Weiland; brothers, Steven Graff and Larry Graff; sister Christy Weifenbach; granddaughter Kristen Hazen; and son-in-law Brad Jarnagin.
