Buena Vista University to host Canadian Brass performance

Free public event Feb. 5

Posted

Buena Vista University invites the public to an evening of music and entertainment featuring a special performance by the Canadian Brass on Thursday, Feb. 5,  at 7:30 p.m. in Schaller Memorial Chapel. This event is free and open to the public; no tickets are required. Doors will open 30 minutes before the performance.

The Canadian Brass was formed in 1970 by friends Chuck Daellenbach and Gene Watts and has grown into a celebrated brass ensemble. With over 130 albums and more than two million albums sold globally, they have built a global reputation as touring legends, performing to packed houses across North America, Europe, Japan and beyond. They made history as the first Western brass ensemble to perform in China, and their work has reached millions through appearances on major TV shows, PBS specials, 11 Sesame Street episodes and even the 1988 film The Couch Trip.

This performance is made possible through support from the Collier-Mack Liberal Arts Fund and the Keith & Virginia Pierce Endowed Music Fund.
