Vicki E. Anderson, 71, of Alta died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022 at Accura HealthCare of Cherokee.
Memorial services will take place Friday, Dec. 2, at 10 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Alta. Burial will be at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will take place Thursday, Dec. 1, from 5-7 p.m. at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Alta. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to the Alzheimer's Association at 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601 in Vicki's name.
Vicki Elizabeth (Lewis) Anderson was born March 15, 1951 to Estel “Red” and Gladys (Bumann) Lewis in Varina. She attended grade school in Nemaha and graduated high school as Valedictorian from Early High School in Early. In 1968, Vicki graduated with honors from Buena Vista University with a degree in mathematics.
Vicki was united in marriage to Dennis Anderson on July 3, 1980 in Varina. To this union, two children were born: Angelique and Amanda. Vicki welcomed in two stepchildren: Jeff and Michelle.
Vicki was an active member of United Methodist Church in Alta. In her free time, Vicki enjoyed gardening, bowling, sewing, fishing and living on the farm. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband Dennis Anderson of Alta; children: Angelique Anderson (Anthony Murray) of Alta; Amanda (Dylan) Kollasch of Alta; Jeff (Sarah) Anderson of Storm Lake; Michelle Sullivan (Rudy Mansano) of Renton; brother Orville (Marilyn) Lewis of Terril; sisters: Connie Lewis and Charalottee (Cricket) Stout; grandchildren: Graham, Hazel, Gus; Callahan; Evan and Ashlee; Alicia, Charlotte and Hailee; great-grandchildren: Boden and Konner; extended family and friends.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents Estel and Gladys Lewis; brother Oran (Deanna) Lewis; sister Theo Lewis; brothers-in-law Dewey Stout and Orville Pippert.
