Sandra Herrig

Sandra K. Herrig, 72, of Storm Lake passed away Aug. 3, 2024, at Good Samaritan Society in Holstein.

Private family memorial services will be held at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake with burial at a later date in King Cemetery in rural Vail.

Sandra Kay Herrig was born Sept. 12, 1951, to Maurice and Pearl (Nelson) Wiltse in Blue Earth, Minn. She attended church at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth. She graduated from Blue Earth High School.

In 1976, Sandi was united in marriage to Ronald Martin Sr. in Sioux Falls, S.D. The couple was blessed with two sons, Ronald Martin Jr. and Charles Martin. On Sept. 14, 1990, Sandi was united in marriage to William Herrig in Storm Lake.

Sandi was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. She enjoyed playing cards, Bingo and the Lottery. More than anything, Sandi treasured time with her family. She especially loved being around her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sandi is survived by her children, Ron (Bonnie) Martin of Sioux Falls, S.D.; Chuck (Heather) Martin of Storm Lake; brothers: Wesley Roscoe of Madison, Wis.; Jerry Roscoe of Madison, Wis.; Bernie (Bea) Roscoe of St. Peter, Minn.; sisters: Roberta (Jon) Rippentrop of Blue Earth, Minn.; Diana Johnson of Blue Earth, Minn.; Donna Bussinger of Blue Earth, Minn.; grandchildren: Nikki (Brandon) Butcher; Rachel and Brooklynn Martin of Sioux Falls, S.D.; Autumn (Ethan) Kestel of Omaha, Neb.; Dylan, Lilly and Keytin Martin of Storm Lake; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Pearl Wiltse; husband Bill Herrig; granddaughter Christina Martin; and grandson Josh Martin.
