Nancy Ledoux, 80, of Storm Lake died Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake. Memorial services will take place Friday, July 28, at 11 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. Burial will be in Cedar Cemetery in Fonda. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be directed to St. Mark Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
On Dec. 17, 1942, Nancy Rae Stafford was born to Ray Kenneth and Gladys (Onnen) Stafford in Hartington, Neb. Nancy attended Fonda Public School, graduating in 1961. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Christian faith. Most recently, Nancy was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Storm Lake.
Nancy worked in the human resources department at Sara Lee in Storm Lake and was the co-owner of several businesses throughout her career. In her free time, she loved knitting and tending to her flower garden. She always looked forward to a fun game of Uno or Phase 10 with “the girls.” Nancy was an excellent cook and was well known for her potato salad. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish Nancy’s memory include her daughters: Lori (Darwin) Needs of Le Mars; Lana (Daniel) Evers of Rochester, Minn.; Lisa (Tony) Chihak of Le Mars; grandchildren: Breanne (Jeff) Mead of Sioux City; Bryan (Kim) Needs of Carroll; Baylee Needs of Iowa City; Jennifer Evers of Rochester, Minn.; Emily Chihak of Ankeny; Alex Chihak of Le Mars; great-grandchildren, Miles Mead and Callan Needs; brother, Dennis Stafford; nieces: Samantha Jacoby and Carrie Breedlove; nephew, Kenneth L. Stafford; great-nieces: Raelee Stafford, Mackenzie Jacoby and Crimson Breedlove; special friends: Linda Glienke, Charlotte Sundberg and Linda Myers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Kenneth and Gladys Stafford; brother, Gail Stafford; and grandson, Joshua Evers.
