Maxine Schramm, 95, of Storm Lake died Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Methodist Manor Retirement Community in Storm Lake.
Memorial services were held Saturday, July 13, at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Burial was in Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery.
Maxine Pietsch was born July 29, 1928, in Linn Grove to Ernest and Elsie Pietsch. She attended school in Albert City, graduating on May 21, 1947. Maxine was united in marriage to Donald Schramm in Ayrshire in 1951. The couple was blessed with a son, Gary.
Maxine enjoyed spending time with her friends and neighbors. You could find her tending to her flowers and vegetable garden. She was an avid reader. Maxine worked part-time for Sliefert Funeral Home and was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Maxine is survived by her son Gary (Karen) Schramm; step-grandchildren: Tony (Ashley) Bohnenkamp, Kristin (Travis) Busby and Matt Bohnenkamp; seven step-grandchildren; extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald, parents; and sister Margaret Knudtson.
