Letter to the Editor: For the future of farmers

The economic challenges facing the ag sector right now cannot be overstated. With net farm income expected to drop by nearly 23% this year, it’s more important than ever to explore new markets and opportunities. Carbon capture pipelines offer exactly that.

These pipelines are a vital part of reducing the carbon index score for corn, which in turn allows us to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). SAF is the future of our industry, just like ethanol was decades ago, offering new demand for our corn and a much-needed boost to our economy.

Supporting carbon capture pipelines is an economic necessity for the future of farmers.
