Letter to the Editor: Bravo to Feis

The series “Buena Vista Remembers...” is outstanding! Bravo to Phoebe Feis and her parents for their research — and specifically to Phoebe, her writing is top notch!  The most recent article last week again showcased Phoebe's ability to weave history and personal anecdote in a humbling tribute to the talents of three young lives lost to the tragedies of war. Reading this in the midst of a spectacularly beautiful Storm Lake/Buena Vista autumn was so compelling — learning about Harry, Bruce and Don — their gifts, their connection to Buena Vista College and Storm Lake, their bravery and their ultimate sacrifice... we remember them.
