Letter to the Editor: Biden’s stepping down

For at least several years the Democratic hierarchy has denied there were any problems with the mental acuity of Joe Biden.

Their willing accomplices in the media and press echoed the same narrative.  They all knew that he had such a problem, but didn’t want to hurt his re-election chances, so they all lied, to be blunt.

Biden’s debate performance changed all that and when polls affirmed what the general public knew all along, and when mega  donors sat on the sidelines, Biden had to go.  It’s unfortunate he didn’t make the decision not to run far earlier, but the  fervent desire to hold on to political power is strong.
