Julie Anderson

Memorial services for Julie A. Anderson, 66, of Aurelia will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Aurelia Community Center. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Pastor Bruce Lesemann will officiate.  Inurnment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Aurelia. Redig Funeral Home of Aurelia is in charge of arrangements. Julie Ann Weiland was born in Alta, on April 20, 1958, the daughter of Frank and Lola (Brummer) Anderson. Julie graduated from Linn Grove High School in 1976. On April 25, 1982, she was united in marriage to Ronald Duane Anderson at the Lutheran Church in Linn Grove. She worked as a waitress at Lake Creek Country Club for 12 years. She then did babysitting in her home for a number of years. Then she worked at Methodist Manor in Storm Lake until her retirement in 2008. Julie loved working outside in her flowers, gardening and doing yard work. She especially enjoyed her dogs and cats. She loved spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren. Ron and Julie have lived in Aurelia for 18 years after leaving Storm Lake. Julie died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 19, 2024, in her home in Aurelia. Preceding Julie in death were her parents, Frank and Lola Weiland; two brothers, Dennis Weiland and Randy Weiland; father- and mother-in-law, Earl and Pearl Anderson; four brothers-in-law: Donald and his wife Henrietta Anderson; William and his wife Edith Anderson; Luis Anderson; and Bill Weatheral. Surviving Julie is her husband Ronald of Aurelia; two sons: Jeremiah of Aurelia; Joey and his wife Krystal and their three children, Tae, Blake and Pierce, all of Storm Lake; sister Connie Weatheral of Sioux Rapids; and her brother Allen and his wife Debra Weiland of Aurelia; four sisters-in-law: Patty Weiland of Sioux Rapids; Margret Chase of Carroll; JoAnn Sherkenbak of Cherokee; and Barb Anderson of Topeka, Kan.
