Glenn Mesenbrink

Glenn Mesenbrink, 88 years of age, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

Graveside services will take place Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Ferguson Cemetery, 3275 Rolf Ave., Lake View. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller is in charge of the arrangements.

Glenn was born May 2, 1936, on a farm near Lake View and lived in Sac County until January 2020, when he moved to Littleton, Colo., to be near his youngest daughter Deb and her family.

Glenn worked at a dairy business in Lake View making milk for consumption and ice cream. He eventually moved into farming, growing corn and soybeans and milking dairy cows north of Odebolt. Glenn later married Vernette (Kollbaum) Schmidt and moved to Schaller. Glenn also drove school bus in his spare time. Glenn farmed until he retired at 75 years old. In retirement, Glenn participated in card clubs and was a regular golfer.

Glenn was preceded in death by his wife Vernette Mesenbrink; father Herman Mesenbrink; mother Mabel Mesenbrink; and brothers, Don (Evelyn) and Richard (Betty) Mesenbrink.

Glenn is survived by his daughters Susan Trant (Lee) of Crescent; and Debra Tierney Morton (Wendell) of Littleton, Colo.; and one grandchild, Sarah Moore of Pocatello, Idaho.
