Evelyn N. Wilson, 95, of Eldridge, formerly of LeClaire, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023 at Crest Health Center in Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 16, at Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge. Visitation will be on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Jack’s Cemetery, rural LeClaire. Memorials may be directed to Princeton Presbyterian Church or to Camp Courageous.
Evelyn was born on June 24, 1928 in Davenport, the daughter of Russell and Eunice (Lively) Auliff. On May 2, 1947, she was united in marriage to Ivan L. Wilson in Davenport. He preceded her in death on April 25, 2011.
Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Princeton Presbyterian Church and Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed playing cards, sewing, cooking and above all spending time with her family.
Those left to honor her memory are her children: Patricia (Jim) Carr of Davenport; and Michael Wilson of Storm Lake; her grandchildren: Molly (Dean Bordner) Wilson, Matt (Jennie) Wilson, Jeff (Rebecca) Wilson and Andrew (Elizabeth) Wilson; and her great-grandchildren: Wilson Kohler, Samantha Kohler, Devyn Glassgold and Natalie Wilson.
In addition to her husband, Ivan, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard Wilson; brother Robert Auliff; and great-grandson, Mason Glassgold.
