Eldon J. Anderson, 85, of Storm Lake passed away Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024, peacefully in his sleep. We take comfort that he is now perfect in Jesus' arms.
Private family services will be held at a later date. In memoriam, donations can be made to Santa's Castle in Storm Lake. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

Eldon was born June 1, 1939, to John and Rube (Negus) Anderson in Marathon. He graduated from Marathon High School in 1957. Eldon confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized. On Feb. 16, 2019, he became a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cherokee.

Many of you may have known Eldon over the years as the people watcher wearing Santa hats at Walmart. He loved the Christmas holiday season. You could find Eldon’s dog, Dinger, lovingly by his side. Eldon loved his bib overalls, stuffed animals, flowers and had a love of cheese puffs! In recent years, Eldon lived at Accura Healthcare nursing home in Aurelia.

Eldon was the father of five children: Lisa, Linda, Larry, Jerry and Gary. A father is someone who does what is best for their children no matter the sacrifice they have to give, and Eldon did just that to give his five little children a better life. Eldon, dry your tears, and know we are all well. Let all be well with your soul. Rest in Peace.

Eldon was preceded in death by his parents, sister and grandson.
