Bounruong Synarong

Bounruong B. Synarong, 75, of Storm Lake died Saturday, April 27, 2024, at his home.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 3, at Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Storm Lake. Burial was in Storm Lake Cemetery. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake was in charge of the arrangements.

Bounruong Synarong was born June 20, 1948, in Pakse, Laos, the son of Koune and Souta. He attended school and later college at Viengtiane.

On June 19, 1972, Bounruong was united in marriage to Viengkeo Synarong in Laos. Together, they were blessed with four children: Keotharangsith, Phonethip, Keomanytharandeth and John.

In 1979, Bounruong was baptized at St. Mark Lutheran Church.

Bounruong was a Deacon for Lakeside Presbyterian Church and also a Lay Pastor for South East Asian Lakeside Presbyterian Church.

Family was very important to Bounruong. He treasured spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Viengkeo Synarong of Storm Lake; children: Keotharangsith (Barbie) Synarong, Phonethip (Amy) Synarong, Keomanytharandeth (Amber) Synarong and John Synarong; grandchildren: Ella, Aiden, William, Aaron, Alysa and Harrison; brothers: Sompong Synarong, Bounkhout Synarong and La Thavone Synarong; sisters: Kongmany (Somchai) Vongchanh, Phoutsaphone (Scott) Daniel, Orasone (Phakdy) Chareunsouk and Theam Synarong; extended family and many friends.

Bounruong was preceded in death by his parents, Koune and Souta Synarong; sister Bounnong Phouangphet; and two brothers, Bounthong and Saleumsay Synarong.
