Art was born Jan. 27, 1946, in Chicago, Ill., son of Albert and Lucille Beaulieu. After graduating from Oak Park River Forest High School, Art worked for Hiram Walker Distributors, earning money for college as well as driving bus for the CTA during summer breaks. He went to Buena Vista College, Storm Lake. There he met his wife, Patricia. They were married Jan. 26, 1970.
Art was the Big Man on Campus everywhere he went. He was a memorable man to everyone who met him. He had an amazing sarcastic sense of humor and was quick-witted. He worked part-time for KAYL, KAYL-FM. He quickly became a radio personality known as Frank N. Stein, the — weatherman. He loved giving people nicknames such as The Grip (mail carrier dropped letters once), Shovel leaner (neighbor who worked for the city). Listeners and the individuals themselves loved it. Over the years he was engineer of KAYL radio station, manager/business manager of the radio station in Ripon, Randolph School District business manager and Platteville School District business manager. He retired in 2016.
Art loved theater, music, old classic movies and TV. He was a jack-of-all-trades around the house and a computer wiz. He was able to instill in his children Anne and Scott those same interests, as well as his sarcastic sense of humor.
Art is survived by his wife Pat; children: Scott (Sarah) Beaulieu of Chili, Wis.; Anne Marie Beaulieu of Chicago, Ill.; and his six grandchildren: Carter Beaulieu, Jackson Beaulieu, Sophie Beaulieu, Logan Keeling, Lola Keeling and Alexander Keeling.
Art was preceded in death by his parents.
