Arlene Miller

Arlene C. Miller, 95, of Schaller died April 24, 2024 at Accura Healthcare in Aurelia.

Funeral Mass will take place Monday, April 29, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ida Grove. Burial will be Monday at 1:15 p.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery in Schaller. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller is in charge of the arrangements.

Arlene was born in Arthur on Feb. 15, 1929, to Benjamin and Caroline (Roeder) Lansink of Arthur. She attended Arthur School where she played basketball and graduated in 1947.

Arlene was united in marriage to Don Miller on Jan. 30, 1956. They were blessed with four children: Larry, Luanne, Terry and Tom.

Arlene enjoyed living on the farm and enjoyed everything that had to do with the outdoors. She helped with the crops, had a large garden, dressed chickens and milked cows. Her favorite pastimes were dancing, playing cards and family gatherings.

Left to cherish her memory includes her children: Larry (Laurie) Miller of Storm Lake; Luanne Roling of Storm Lake; Terry Miller of Schaller; and Tom Miller of Alta; her grandchildren: Jason (Colette) Roling, Joshua (Jaycie) Miller, Rick (Mallory) Roling, Jerrica (Mark) Brenner, Katie (Kyle) Miller, Daren Miller, Jodi (Nick) Nielsen, Sarah (Cody) Rodriquez, Shelby (Mack) Miller; great-grandchildren: Kia Noibi; Austin Vermillion; Olivia Roling; Bryce, Brantly and Bree Benner; Nora and Nyah Miller; Nash and Finley Roling; Ryder and Noah Rodriquez; and Remi and Jax Miller.

Arlene was preceded in death by her husband Don Miller; granddaughter Justine Miller; grandson Samuel Miller; her parents; brother Bernard Lansink; sisters, Delores Segebart and Sister Mary Benjamin Lansink; and sister-in-law, Leila Lansink.
