A Time of Remembrance will take place Friday, Jan. 5, from 3:30-6 p.m. at Sliefert Funeral Home in Albert City. Burial will be at a later date in Fairfield Township Cemetery.

Troy Micheal Heine was born Sept. 28, 1965 to Burnett and Eunice (Hantelman) Heine in Emmetsburg. He attended Emmetsburg schools.

On Aug. 15, 1992 he was united in marriage to Rebekah Spragg at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Albert City.

Troy met Beck when he started working for his future father-in-law, Ray Spragg, in 1986. When Ray passed away, he began working for Poca Vista in 1989 as a mechanic and truck driver. In 2003, he began his employment for Laurens Implement as a mechanic. In 2011, he became the Service Manager at Laurens and was working for KC Nielsen until his death.

Troy loved the outdoors and camping was his favorite thing to do. He dreamt of traveling the country with Beck in their RV. He was a gun and knife collector and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Troy was always up to date on current events and could be found watching the news, Harry Potter movies or Wheel of Fortune. He was also a wonderful dog owner and especially loved Shooter, Lady, Chocolate, Duder and Buckwheat. He loved to torment Beck’s cat, Spanky. Troy enjoyed watching football, especially the Miami Dolphins. His humor and laughter will be missed by all who knew him.
