Timothy S. Staton, 64, of Alta died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024 at Accura Healthcare in Aurelia.
Celebration of Life services will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Please send memorials for Timothy to the funeral home at 1615 West Milwaukee Ave., Storm Lake, IA 50588. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
Timothy Scott Staton was born March 4, 1959 to Leland and Alice Staton of Sac City. He was united in marriage to Rhonda Staton on Sept. 13, 1980 at the Methodist Church in Storm Lake. To this union, four children were born: Leland, Andrew, Leah and Bobbi Jo.
Timothy was a member of the Saddlemans and Boy Scouts, serving as a Scout Leader. He was passionate about farming and loved the outdoors. Fishing and shooting guns brought Timothy joy, as well as collecting animals and treasures. Horses were his favorite animal and he enjoyed camping, traveling and exploring new things. He loved old time music and Perry Mason TV. More than anything, Timothy loved spoiling his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Timothy is survived by his children: Leland (Geneva) Staton of Dexter; Andrew Staton of Humboldt; Leah (Adrian) Dimas of Aurelia; Bobbi Jo (Ryan) Erskine of Aurelia; sister Connie Adkins of Florida; brother-in-law Kai VonRiman of New Jersey; grandchildren: Bailey Rose and Ziva Staton-Fisher; Jefferson, Harper and Vivian Staton; Sophie Carlson and Quinn Erskine; Anika and Ellie Dimas; nieces: Karin VonRiman of New Jersey; Kris (John) Gary of New Jersey; extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rhonda Staton; father Leland Staton; mother Alice Staton; and sister Vicki VonRiman.
