Ronald Schreier, 83, of Storm Lake died Friday, Nov. 3, 2023 at Methodist Manor in Storm Lake.
Memorial Mass will take place Monday, Nov. 6, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
Ronald William Schreier was born on May 21, 1940 to William and Loretta (Lang) Schreier in Rolfe. Ronald attended school at St. Columbkille in Varina. He was baptized and confirmed his Catholic faith. Most recently, Ronald was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Ronald worked as a Bomgaars mechanic for 23 years.
Ronald was united in marriage to Bonijo Sharp. They were blessed with four children: Ron, David, Lori and Paul.
Hunting and fishing were Ronald’s passions. He enjoyed going camping with his family and attending the Clay County Fair in Spencer. During the winter months, Ronald loved snowmobiling. He was a big Iowa Hawkeyes and Kansas City Chiefs fan. He also enjoyed watching baseball. Ronald will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Ronald is survived by his children: Ron (Tammy) Schreier of Cedar Falls; Dave (Vicki) Schreier of Storm Lake; Lori (Kelly) Peterson of Belle Plaine, Minn.; Paul (Denise) Schreier of Storm Lake; brother Dwayne (Janet) Schreier of Lincoln, Neb.; grandchildren: Nathan (Amanda) Schreier, Nina Schreier, Jason (Carol) Schreier, Cody Schreier, Lauren Peterson, Logan Peterson, Tawney Schreier and Brayden Schreier; eight great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Rita Freese and Ray (Ricky) Sharp; extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Loretta (Lang) Schreier; wife Bonijo Schreier; and sisters, Delores and Rita Mae.
