Marlowe Feldman

Marlowe Feldman, 94, of Albert City died Feb. 13, 2024 at Laurens Care Center.

Funeral services will take place Monday, Feb. 19, at 10:30 a.m. at Evangelical Free Church in Albert City. Burial will be Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 10:30 a.m. in Fairfield Township Cemetery in Albert City. Sliefert Funeral Home in Albert City is in charge of the arrangements. 

Marlowe Ned Feldman was born Feb. 27, 1929, the son of Guy and Florence (Pepper) Feldman in Washington. He attended Kalona High School, graduating in 1948. Marlowe went on to attend Iowa State University, graduating with a degree in agriculture. Marlowe was a lifelong farmer.

On June 28, 1952, Marlowe was united in marriage to the love of his life, Myrna Nelson.

Marlowe was an active member of Albert City Evangelical Free Church. He was known to greet each person walking through the door with a friendly smile and a warm hug. Marlowe was also a member of the Albert City Library Board, Lion’s Club, Young At Heart and Farm Bureau Board. He served on the Albert City Elevator Board and was Albert City Thresherman Board President. In his free time, Marlowe loved traveling and spending time with friends and family. He was a talented singer, often singing for funerals and weddings. He was known for his wonderful voice. His talent found him participating in Storm Lake Community Theatre, even landing the lead in the “Music Man.” He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish Marlowe’s memory include his son, Kirk (Cory) Feldman of Carbondale, Colo.; grandchildren: Harlee Paulsen, Kelsie Feldman, Buckshot Barry and Jeff Kronowit; extended family and many friends.

Welcoming Marlowe into heaven are his parents, Guy and Florence Feldman; beloved wife Myrna Feldman; daughter Jayne (Paul) Paulsen; and brothers, Dwight Feldman and Roger Feldman.
