Irene Rose Bibler, 90, of Alta died Jan. 20, 2024 at Good Samaritan Society in Holstein.
Private family services were held at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home.
Irene Rose Guthridge was born Nov. 14, 1933, the daughter of John and Edna (Downey) Guthridge in Woodbury County. She attended school at Sutherland High School, graduating in 1952.
Irene was united in marriage to Harold Bibler on Aug. 12, 1956 at the Riverside Presbyterian Church in Linn Grove. To this union, five children were born: Dan, Kris, Rick, Cindy and Becky.
Irene farmed with her husband Harold, helping with planting and harvesting crops and caring for the animals. She devoted countless hours of hard work, passing this work ethic on to her children and grandchildren. Irene enjoyed gardening, tending to flowers, crocheting, knitting and making many craft projects for her children and grandchildren. Her family looked forward to her homemade cakes for their various celebrations and many special baked treats were always available when children and grandchildren visited. Irene will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Edna (Downey) Guthridge; husband Harold Bibler; brothers: Lewis Guthridge, Roland Guthridge, Marvin Guthridge and Troy Guthridge; and sister, Evelyn.
