Donna Snyder

Donna Mae Snyder, 65, of Chippewa Falls, Wis. died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023 at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.

Funeral services will take place Friday, Jan. 5, at 10:30 a.m. with Rosary at 10:15 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

Donna was born May 1, 1958 to Urban and Deloris Snyder. She was baptized in Breda and confirmed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Donna attended St. Mary’s where she played girls basketball, graduating in 1977. After high school, she joined the St. Rose Convent with the Franciscan Sisters and attended Viterbo College in LaCrosse, Wis. She was a part of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration for 25 years. Most recently, Donna was a member of Holy Ghost Church in Chippewa Falls, Wis. She taught reading part time at Park View Schools in Chippewa Falls.

Donna enjoyed gardening, working with ceramics and her yearly trips to Marywood, Wis. She loved cheering on the Green Bay Packers and visiting the casino. Donna’s nieces and nephews brought her great joy and she cherished her trips home to spend time with family for the holidays.

Left to cherish Donna’s memory include her mother Deloris Snyder of Storm Lake; sisters, Cathy Madson of Storm Lake; and Kay (Robert) Marvin of Mesa, Ariz.; brothers, John Snyder of Storm Lake; and Tom (Kris) Snyder of Storm Lake; nieces and nephews: Andee Madson, Michael Madson, Allison (Doug) White, Kayla (Kevin) Wells, Matt (Rachel) Snyder, Colby Snyder, Tanner Snyder, Kendall Snyder, Anyssa (Curtis) Wells, Alan (Melinda) Lenhart, Dane (Olivia) Lenhart and Trisha Lenhart; aunts and uncles; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Urban Snyder.
