Cherokee County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections, Kris Glienke, has announced that absentee ballots for the Nov. 5, 2024, General Election will be available to be voted at the Cherokee County Auditor’s Office beginning Wednesday, Oct. 16.
Absentee ballots may be cast in person at the Cherokee County Auditor’s Office at 520 W. Main St., Cherokee, during regular office hours from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, through Nov. 4.
Ballots must be requested in writing and Absentee Ballot Request Forms are available at the Auditor’s Office, or at the Iowa Secretary of State’s web site at www.sos.iowa.gov.
All requests for ballots to be mailed must be received by the Auditor’s Office by 5 p.m. Oct. 21.
Ballots returned to the Auditor’s Office through the mail must be received by close of polls on Election Day, Nov. 5.
