Pickhinke wins both matches to lead Ridge View


Logan Pickhinke won both of his matches by pin to highlight Ridge View’s performance in a double dual last Thursday at Lawton.

The Raptors were defeated by Lawton-Bronson 42-36. The Eagles won the first six matches to build a 30-0 lead. Ridge View won the next five matches to rally. Clayton Jacobson won his match by pin in 2:39 at 160, as did Ian Shepherd in 2:32 at 170. Ashton Pranschke prevailed by pin in 3:36 at 182, as did Tanner Edwards in 4:49 at 195. Pickhinke stuck his opponent in 43 seconds at 220 to tie the match at 30-30. Chaysen Hansen won by pin in 49 seconds at 106, but the Eagles won two of the final three matches to win the dual.

Ridge View lost to South Sioux City (Neb.) 52-15. Conner Jacobson won by pin in 58 seconds at 138, as did Pickhinke in 26 seconds. Lucas Else was a winner by decision 7-0 at 152 pounds.

South Sioux City won seven of the final eight matches to pull away.
