Pickhinke sets meet, school record to propel Ridge View girls


Katie Pickhinke set a new meet record and a new school record in the discus and Ridge View finished first in five events to win the East Sac County Relays on Monday in Sac City.

Ridge View won the meet with 118 points, 13 ahead of Manson Northwest Webster.

Taya Phillips placed fourth in the 100 meters in a clocking of 13.88 seconds. Kiara Dutler was sixth in 14.05 seconds.

Dutler finished second in the 200 meters in 27.46 seconds. Phillips was sixth in 29.28 seconds. Cadey Vohs took sixth in the 400 meters in 1:18.47.

Jaycie Vohs finished third in the 1,500 meters with a time of 5:44.97. Madison Stowater was fifth in 6:13.82. Vohs was third in the 3,000 meters in 12:32.39.

Rowan Jensen won the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.97 seconds. Lilly Whitmer was fifth in the 400 meter hurdles in a clocking of 1:19.98.

The 4×100 relay unit of Hannah Ehrp, Faith Freese, Shae Dutler and Jensen finished first in 52.19 seconds. The 4×200 team of Ehrp, Dutler, Jensen and Gabi Mason placed first in 1:50.88. The 4×400 relay was second in 4:34.98.

The 4×800 relay tandem of Dutler, Morgan Todd, Mya Henningson and Stowater finished first in 10:51.14. The sprint medley relay was second in 2:05.4, as was the distance medley relay in 5:14.4.

In the field events, Stowater took fourth in the high jump with a leap of 4 feet, 10 inches. Sydney Blackmore was sixth in 4-8.

Pickhinke finished second in the shot put with a throw of 34-1. She won the discus with a new meet record and new school record toss of 136-2.
