Care Initiatives welcomes new regional director of business development

Jenny Blackmore has joined Care Initiatives as the Western Iowa Regional Director of Business Development. She will oversee the professional growth and development of 13 Care Initiatives facilities.

Blackmore holds a degree in public relations from Northwest Missouri State University. She has more than 15 years of experience working in health care sales, customer service and talent recruitment.

In her new role, Blackmore says she will focus on creating relationships in the communities she serves, increasing census and improving staff development.

“I’m looking forward to getting to know and building a relationship with each of the facilities I’ll be assisting,” Blackmore says. “Getting to understand their trials and tribulations and how I can partner with them to build census and assure that families are happy with the service we’re providing.”

Blackmore and her family live in Holstein. Her husband, Shannon, farms and works as a pipefitter. Two of their children are studying at Morningside University in Sioux City. Their other two children are in high school and active in basketball and volleyball.

With headquarters in West Des Moines, Care Initiatives and Care Initiatives Hospice operate 55 skilled nursing, rehabilitation, Alzheimer’s/dementia, assisted living and hospice locations throughout Iowa. For more information about Care Initiatives, visit careinitiatives.org.
