Colin Huseman
Colin Huseman, 47, of Galva died on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018 in Boone.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Sept. 13, at St. John Lutheran Church in Galva. Burial was in the church cemetery. A memorial fund has been established. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller was in charge of the arrangements.
Colin R. Huseman, the son of Norbert and Iris (Pettifer) Huseman, was born on March 26, 1971 in Alta.
In his youth, Colin was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church in Hanover. Later, he was confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Galva. In 1991, he graduated from high school in Cherokee.
During his free time, Colin enjoyed golfing, playing cards, the Iowa Hawkeyes and car racing. Family was important to Colin and he especially loved visiting his dad and spending weekends in Boone with his nieces, nephews and the rest of his family. Holidays spent with family were of importance to him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his dad, Norbert Huseman (resident at Morningside Care Center in Ida Grove); brother, Curt Huseman and his wife, Julie; nephew, Dalton; niece, Jaiden all of Boone; nephew, Jedadiah Hammen of Grimes; niece, Amanda Carter Van Fossen and her husband, Nathan; great-niece, Morgan all of Boone; nephew, Dale Carter of Boone; and extended family and friends.
Colin was preceded in death by his mother, Iris; and his sisters, Carol Hammen and Christina Carter.
