Man charged with selling pot

Police announced an arrest in an ongoing investigation into the sale of marijuana through Storm Lake.

The SLPD arrested Jose Ramos-Martinez, 19, at his residence at 821 Hyland Dr. for selling marijuana to a police informant multiple times since January.

Ramos-Martinez was charged with two counts of delivery of marijuana and booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $5,000 bond.            Police arrested a Storm Lake woman Monday on an outstanding warrant stemming from a no-insurance charge.

At 6:38 p.m. Monday, police arrested Danielle Jordan, 30, at 914 E. Milwaukee Apt. 5 on a warrant from BV County for failing to appear in court on a no-insurance charge. Jordan was jailed on a $1,000 bond. 


Teen arrested on warrants

Storm Lake Police arrested a Storm Lake teen Wednesday who was wanted on a litany of misdemeanor charges.

Police arrested 18-year-old Gora Akwai, who was wanted on BV County warrants charging him with assault causing bodily injury, public intoxication, interference with official acts and failure to pay fines.

Police were booking Akwai into jail when they found a small amount of marijuana hidden in his sock. Akwai was charged with possession of marijuana and held on a $2,900 bond.


Probation violation

Police arrested a Storm Lake man for violating the terms of his probation, which stemmed from his second OWI conviction.

At 11:20 a.m. Thursday, police responded to 523½ Lake Ave. to arrest Eduardo Delapaz, 25, who was wanted out of Buena Vista County on a warrant charging him with probation violation reference OWI 2nd offense. Delapaz was booked into jail and held without bond.
