South Dakota fugitive arrested in Storm Lake

US Marshals notified Storm Lake Police that a possible fugitive out of Sioux Falls, S.D., may be living in Storm Lake on Wednesday.

At 7 p.m. the Storm Lake Police Department responded to 532 Oates St., where they located and arrested Obono Alual, 29, of Storm Lake, formerly of Sioux Falls.

Alual was wanted out of Sioux Falls on warrants charging him with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, three counts of distribution of controlled substance and three counts of possession/distribution of drugs in a drug free zone.

Alual was booked into the county jail on a $25,000 bond.


Wanted person arrested

Police were sent to 506 Russell St. in reference to locating a wanted person on Wednesday at 4:11 p.m.

Upon arrival, police located and arrested Ubaldo Amezola-Lara, 41, of Storm Lake, who was wanted out of BV County on a warrant charging him with contempt of court reference leaving the scene of an accident.

Amezola-Lara was booked into the county jail and held without bond.
